The Hastus expert
Treelight was founded when Dave Van Meerbeeck was ready for a new challenge after a long career with De Lijn. He progressed from being a bus driver to a dispatcher, and finally to head of regional and personnel planning. This journey made him realise the crucial role of technology in making transport more efficient, both in front of and behind the scenes.
At Treelight, Dave and his colleagues focus exclusively on HASTUS. In Europe, they are the premier expertise and implementation partner for the software that keeps the public transport world moving. Starting spring 2026, Treelight will also be present in North America with technical support and integration services.
Not only do we unburden companies, but we also actively participate in everything that happens in the sector. For example, we are a member of UITP (International Association of Public Transport), where we share our knowledge and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of public transport. We are also a regular at GIRO's User Group, where we exchange knowledge with other HASTUS experts.
We follow a clean course
We believe in a world where sustainability is at the forefront and actively contribute to it.
- To minimise our ecological footprint, we travel by public transport as much as possible.
- When we visit GIRO in Canada, we offset our carbon emissions. We do this by partnering with Go Forest to plant trees in Wallonia and Peru.
- As a digital entity, it goes without saying that Treelight operates completely paperless.
- We feed our server park on the basis of solar panels and green electricity.

Information security is at least as important as the services and products we offer.
As a specialist in HASTUS software and support for public transport companies, we handle sensitive information, such as scheduling data and operational data. That is why we are ISO 27001:2022 certified as per the international standard.
This certification means that we have established a robust Information Security Management System (ISMS). This system helps us to systematically identify, manage, and minimise risks.
